At just 8 years of age, the Brazilian girl is known as the world's youngest astronomer, looking of asteroids as part of a NASA-affiliated program, attending international seminars and meeting with her the country's top space and science figures. Oliveira's  room is filled with posters and solar system, star wars figures and miniature rockets. Nicolinha, as she is affectionately known, works on her computer studying images of the sky on 2 two large screens. With pride, Nicolinha told AFP she has already found 18 asteroids.   Yoshinobu fudamoyo, an astronomer at the research institute for science and engineering at waseda University, japan, led the team that used the Atacama large millimetre/submillimeter Array (ALMA) located in Chile to make the make the discovery. ALMA is an astronomical interferometer of 66 Radio telescopes and is capable of seeing through dusty environment and viewing incredibly large distances. The team stumbled across the two new galaxies when they were observing two Target galaxies named REBELS-12 and REBELS-29. The team noticed that thousands of light-years away from the target galaxies, there where bright emissions. This discovery led the team to pursue with follow-up observations that led to the discovery of two galaxies r name REBELS-12-2 and REBELS-29-2. These galaxies  were hidden behind a cloud of cosmic dust and aren't visible in UV and optical light.   Turns out, black holes exert pressure on all space surrounding them. Hawking had predicted that black holes emit radiation in 1974, implying that the objects have temperature. In addition, Hawking claimed that black holes slowly shrink over time if no accumulation of gases (accretion) takes place.   Scientists from the University of Sussex - Professor Xavier Calmet and Folkert Kuipers published their findings in Physical Review D. The researchers were probing the event horizon (a black hole's boundary) of a black hole when they made the startling discovery.  They were looking an entropy at the event horizon of the black hole, which is essentially the chaos embedded into any physical object and its progression from calm to mayhem.  While reading the calculations, the scientists kept running into an additional figure which they couldn't explain.   James Webb Space Telescope, will launch on December 18 on an Ariane 5 rocket. James Webb space telescope will launch on December 18, NASA said Wednesday. Space observatory, which is a joint project by NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency, will blast off on an Ariane 5 rocket from Spaceport in French Guiana. currently stowed at Northrop Grumman's facilities in Redondo Beach, California, where it is awaiting shipping.
